BABY AQUATICS    4-36 MONTHS        PARENT/CHILD CLASSES
This is a parent/child approach to teaching children age 4-36 months old. The goal of this class is to develop an understanding of the aquatics environment. Through play the young child learns beginning swimming skills.

We have divided our baby aquatics into 8 different levels to enhance the skill development of our baby swimmers.

Beginner students(4-36 months old)
This is a foundation class for parents and their young child to get comfortable and overcome fear of the water. Consistency is the key to a safe and happy skill development. Children should remain at this level until they can swim through the water with their face in for 5 seconds. Just as children learn to walk, talk, and read at different ages, they also learn to swim at different rates.
We work with each child at their own level and speed while focusing on the child learning to love and enjoy the water.

 Intermediate swimmers (10-36 months)
Children must have completed the Sea Horses level before moving into this class. To be in this class the child must be comfortable and enjoy the water while holding their breath for 5 seconds without taking in water. The main forcus in this class is to enhance your child's confidence, endurance, and awareness. Skills that will be focused on in this class will be swimming longer under water working up to 10 seconds, jumping in and swimming back to the wall, and diving down to retrieve a toy with assistance.
